WSS 2025 Schedule

Wisconsin Screenwriter Symposium panels, workshops and events will be held April 4-6th, 2025 in Grainger Hall on the Campus of the University of Wisconsin Madison.

  • 2:30-3:45 – Writing Compelling Characters panel with Nathan Deming, Kelly Jo Brick, Michael Graf and Max Timm
  • 4:00-5:15 – Developing & Writing for TV panel with Jason Rothenberg, Deirdre Brenner and Kelly Jo Brick

WSS Pitch-A-Palooza: Elevator Pitch Event on Saturday, (4/5), 4:30-5:45p, Grainger Hall Room 1295

  • Six writers pitch their projects live to respondents Angie Gaffney, Jason Rothenberg and Michael Graff
  • Audience votes on their favorite pitch.

WSS Reception and Networking event on Saturday (4/5), 6:00p-8:00p, Grainger Hall Coffee Lounge

Live Table Read of the Wisconsin’s Own Screenplay Contest’s Winning Script: Belladonna on Sunday (4/6), 10:00a-12:00p, Grainger Hall Room 4151

  • Join us for coffee, bagels, and a live reading of award-winning script, Belladonna, by actors from the Capital City Theatre.
